In organic synthesis, the selection of anode materials is very difficult, because the electrode may dissolve and corrode during anode passivation. The active electrode oxidizes organic matter by generating higher-priced metal oxides, and the active electrode can be in a higher oxidation state, depending on selective oxidation. Advantages are many, such as less need of chemical raw materials, energy saving (since the anode can operate at normal temperature and pressure), and no environmental pollution.
